Blaak House

Location: Rotterdam, NL

The Blaak House, designed in 1950 by Kees Elffers, is a notable architectural landmark. Initially built to house the Nederlandsche Handelsmaatschappij, it features a brick façade with a stately portal and an impressive natural stone entrance. Due to its historical and architectural significance, it was designated as a national monument in 2010.
The building underwent a significant transformation in 1998, with the addition of two new floors and another extensive renovation by V8 Architects in 2017 restored much of its appeal and is one of the most important office buildings in the city.
